Stocksfield South of Tyne Flower Club was formed in
September 1976 to provide an interest in friendship, gardening, flowers,
and flower arranging. We continue to have a healthy growing membership.
The meetings are held in Stocksfield Community Centre on
the first Thursday of every month from September to May, and also have two
extra meetings in April and November where non members may visit the open
meetings to see National and International demonstrators.
Our members have taken part in many flower festivals
throughout the area and the club has independently staged some very
impressive festivals, namely:

We have donated generously to charitable causes throughout
the years by the hard work and dedication of our members.
We are and active club taking part in local, regional and
national events.
Many most interesting club outings have taken place to
Paris & Monet's Gardens, the Holland Festivals London & the Royal
Hampton Garden show, Guernsey the Dutch Bulb Fields & the Cornish
Gardens. 2006 sees a visit to Bournemouth & the Gardens of Exbury RHS
Wisley & others.
Many other outings take place locally.
Competitive work is undertaken by some members and one of
our esteemed members has won two individual Chelsea Gold medals and a
Silver and Bronze medal too! And has also represented our country at the
World show in Canada.
